A Highland Journey: Skye to Inverness
The 4-Day Noble North Tour
Venture beyond the ordinary on The Noble North Tour—a four-day, private luxury experience designed for those seeking Scotland at its most breathtaking. From the dramatic glens of Glencoe to the ancient stones of Skye and the storied shores of Loch Ness, this journey unfolds with seamless elegance, expert guiding, and unforgettable scenery.
Day One begins in Edinburgh, weaving west through the charming village of Callander and a visit to the Highland cattle at Kilmahog. Pause at tranquil Loch Lubnaig, then stand at the tumbling Falls of Dochart before exploring the ruins of Finlarig Castle. The drive through the Loch Tulla Viewpoint and the dramatic Three Sisters of Glencoe provides cinematic grandeur, followed by meaningful stops at the Glencoe Visitor Centre and the Commando Memorial. Trace Highland rebellion at Invergarry Castle, pause for a treat at Landour Bakehouse, and cross the serene Glenelg Ferrybefore arriving on the mystical Isle of Skye.
Day Two explores the north of Skye, beginning with a walk to the legendary Old Man of Storr. Marvel at the basalt cliffs of Kilt Rock, search for dinosaur footprints on An Corran Beach, and drive the winding roads to The Quiraing, where geology and myth collide. After lunch at the Uig Hotel, end the day with golden-hour views at the iconic Neist Point Lighthouse before returning to Portree for a relaxed evening.
Day Three begins with a visit to the enchanting Fairy Pools, followed by a photo stop at the dramatic Sligachan Bridge. Your main highlight is the cinematic Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most photographed landmarks. Enjoy a private distillery tour en route, then continue to Fort Augustus for a cruise on Loch Ness—keep your eyes open for Nessie! End the day exploring Urquhart Castle before arriving in Inverness, the Highland capital.
Day Four begins with reflection at Culloden Battlefield, site of the last Jacobite uprising, followed by a wander among the ancient standing stones of Clava Cairns. You’ll visit the haunting ruins of Ruthven Barracks, and the open-air Highland Folk Museum, before heading south via your choice of stops: shop and stroll at House of Bruar, explore the estate of Blair Castle, or admire the natural beauty at the Falls of Bruar. End your journey with a sweet note—perhaps a whisky ice cream in Pitlochry or a forest walk through The Hermitage—before returning to Edinburgh in comfort and style.
Throughout the journey, you’ll be accompanied by a knowledgeable private guide and travel in a luxury vehicle, with time and space to truly savour the experience. The Noble North Tour is a rich blend of heritage, legend, and landscape—crafted for those who appreciate the extraordinary.
